Andrew started at KNH Sawatzky & Associates in 2007 after finishing off a Master’s of Science Degree in Biosystems Engineering at the University of Manitoba, completing his thesis that focused on Structural Engineering.

  The past 13 years have been spent both at KNH Sawatzky and Associates and another large local structural Engineering consulting office.  In this time he has been the lead structural designer for a diverse range of structures from residential renovations to large commercial and industrial structures in both the private and public sectors.

  In addition to structural design, Andrew has conducted numerous structural investigations to aid in legal litigations, insurance claims, pre-purchase due diligence, and individual building owner concerns.

  Andrew is a firm believer in simple solutions for complex problems, to help ensure that the end product results in a structure that is both functional and buildable for our clients.

In his time away from the office, Andrew can be found tending to his elderly VW van, trying to keep up with his kid’s activities, spending time with family and friends, and as much time as possible camping, canoeing, and road-tripping.
