Our History
From our small beginnings in 1989 to the thriving firm we have become, here is a look at some of KNH Sawatzky & Associates historical milestones along the way.

1989
Started Company
Kurtis Sawatzky started KNH Sawatzky & Associates LTD. Offices were established in Winnipeg and Steinbach, Manitoba.
1995
Corporate Restructure
In 1995 KNH underwent a corporate restructuring resulting in our current company name, KNH Sawatzky & Associates (1995) LTD.
and moved all operations to Winnipeg.
2012
Moved into 128 James Avenue
This is the year KNH moved into our current office at 128 James Avenue which is a retrofitted mixed-use heritage building.
2014
Heritage Winnipeg - Special President’s Award
In 2014, Heritage Winnipeg’s Special President’s Award was given to Stonebridge Development Corporation (Kurtis Sawatzky founding owner and president) for the Studio 511 Condo project. We were the prime consultants and structural engineers for this project.
2015
Heritage Winnipeg - Residential Conservation Award
In 2015, the Residential Conservation Award presented by Heritage Winnipeg was awarded to Veritas Development Corporation (Kurtis Sawatzky founding owner and president) for the complete redevelopment of 128 James Avenue. We were the prime consultants and structural engineers for this project.
2019
30 Years in Business!
KNH celebrated 30 years in business serving our clients.It was our best year in business to date!
2020
New Partners
In 2020, KNH Sawatzky welcomed two new partners into the firm: Gavin Clements and Andrew Gies.
